1. Install Prerequisites
Ensure Python is installed, then run this in your terminal:

                    pip install simple_salesforce requests
                    
                

2. Get Session IDs
Use the Salesforce CLI to get the Session IDs and Instance URLs for both your Source and Target orgs:

                    sf org display -o <alias>
                    
                

3. Edit the Script
Open the downloaded migration.py file and paste your Session IDs into the Configuration block at the top.

4. Run the Script
Execute the script. It will generate a folder of downloaded files and a ContentVersion_Import.csv mapping file.

5. Upload to Target Org

Open Salesforce Data Loader and configure it exactly as follows to prevent heap size errors:

Action: Insert
Object: ContentVersion
Settings: Use SOAP API (Uncheck Bulk API)
Settings: Batch Size = 1

Map the fields using the generated CSV and run the insert!

Tired of Paywalls and Bad Exam Dumps.

A while ago, I was studying for my Service Cloud Consultant certification. I hit a wall that every Salesforce professional eventually hits: the exam prep ecosystem is broken.

My options were either aggressively paywalled (paying $20+ for static mock exams) or digging through shady, community-voted exam dumps filled with objectively wrong answers based on outdated limits.

With 15 years in IT and 5 years in the Salesforce ecosystem as a Senior Business Analyst, I decided to stop complaining and start coding.

The "Zero Tolerance" QA Approach

Having spent years working in Quality Assurance, my tolerance for "mostly correct" is zero. I didn't want to build just another quiz app; I wanted an intelligent, highly accurate study engine.

ApexGoat is built entirely from scratch in vanilla JavaScript. Rather than letting AI wildly hallucinate exam questions on the fly, I personally curate and QA the entire database. Some of our 29+ certifications already feature over 200 questions, and the standard simulations are strictly calibrated to mirror the most up-to-date official Salesforce category weights. I value 100% accuracy over sheer volume.

The Mission & The Reality

I’m Mateusz Piątczak, a solo developer building this on nights and weekends from Poland.

My goal for ApexGoat is simple: to be the most helpful, hyper-personalized learning tool in the ecosystem. While the core exams run off my curated database, the platform also features a dynamic Knowledge Base. Here, the app actively queries advanced LLM APIs to generate your personalized Study Sheets, Flashcards, and post-exam study guides on demand. Every single time these AI tools are used, it costs real money in server compute and API tokens.

The Beta Phase: Right now, ApexGoat is in Early Access Beta. I am keeping 100% of these advanced AI features completely free while I stress-test the engine and gather community feedback.

The Future: Eventually, to ensure I don't go bankrupt paying for server costs, the on-demand AI tools will be moved behind a highly affordable, developer-friendly paywall. No ridiculous subscriptions. Just fair pricing that beats the outdated exam dumps.
